What’s your BFMA idea?
By: Lisa Lee, CEBS, FLMI

You know better than anyone else what you want from BFMA. So tell us. Revolutionary or simple – we want to hear your ideas.
At symposium, the following suggestions were posted by attendees:
Branch out to other communities involved with data and forms to build relationships!
I think BFMA needs to grow learning opportunities for more advanced/experienced forms professionals. Many of us, who’ve been in the industry for a few years, have become removed form the hands-on side of the work so classes in analysis, design may not be immediately relevant. Perhaps if we broaden the “management/leadership” learning side we may attract a wider audience to Symposium and provide opportunities for experienced analysts/designers to grown into management roles. Also, courses in Business Analysis would help build the “range” of services provided by Forms Programs. Some general courses might be:
Strategic planning
Developing/writing a business case
Marketing to external or internal customers
Personal accountability
Really effective communication strategies
Now it's your turn. Help shape the future of BFMA. Share your ideas, comment on other people’s ideas and join the discussion. Let’s get started!
