Robert Barnett has recently revised and published the fifth edition of Managing Business Forms. The latest edition is expanded with more material and updated research. Barnett includes samples of forms department forms that cover most aspects of the forms management processes In addition, there are a sample policy statement and sample procedures that you can use as guidelines to develop your own procedures.
Like all books written by Rob Barnett, this one is full of practical guidance. It details how to handle day-to-day work in a forms management department from a best practices point of view. This book should be the most referenced book in any forms professional's library.
Robert Barnett is a long-time member of BFMA and a winner of the prestigious Jo Warner Award. He has more than forty years experience in forms, systems, procedures writing and records management. His other books include Forms for People: designing forms that people can use, Micrographics and Office Efficiency, The Forms Designer's Quick Reference Guide and Practical Playscript: writing procedure manuals that people can use.
