One of the best reasons to attend Symposium is to get the benefit of the excellent speakers and their top notch content. Let me tell you about some special educational opportunities on Sunday and Monday, the first two days of Symposium.
Monday's keynote speaker is Robert Pennington, Ph.D. Dr. Pennington is an educational psychologist who specializes in working with leaders and their direct reports to increase productivity by reducing resistance to change and/or conflict. Dr. Pennington travels extensively, consulting with corporations and government agencies undergoing massive change. Considering the evolution and change caused by the move to electronic and the conflict among departments, particularly between IT and Forms Management, his insights will be extremely relevant.
Sunday there are three pre-conference training sessions. These sessions have a separate fee and are not included in the standard registration.
- Hitachi Consulting will present on developing InfoPath solutions and their integration with SharePoint. This session is designed for individuals who are responsible for creating InfoPath forms and form templates and integrating them with Microsoft Office Server platforms and other line-of-business (LOB) applications. This is an introductory level course for these products but attendees must be experienced PC users.
- Easel Solutions will present an introduction to Adobe Live Cycle Designer Forms. This course teaches, in detail, techniques for developing forms for data capture and data display using LiveCycle Designer ES. You will learn how to create static as well as dynamic, interactive, data-bound forms including input validation, localized fields, accessibility information, and custom scripted interactions. This is an introductory-level course and intended for form designers and form developers who are new to creating forms with Adobe Acrobat LiveCycle Designer but who are experienced PC users.
- Easel Solutions will present AcroForms: Creating forms with Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional. This course is a hands-on session to create interactive PDF forms that can complement, or supersede, other means of collecting and presenting enterprise data. It is intended for those who are responsible for converting documents into PDF formats or creating PDF forms as well as anyone interested in creating electronically distributed PDFs or editing and securing PDFs. Attendees should be experienced PC users
So, now you know all about special educational opportunities on Sunday and Monday. More details about regular classes will follow in the January newsletter. But why wait until then to register? Don't miss the price reduction available by registering early. If you register before December 31st of this year, you can save $100 off full registration. That results in a $1089 fee for BFMA members. If two or more people from the same company register, you can each save an additional $100.
